The thirteenth and final track from Mark's album Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain.

Lyrics

Drifting off to sleep
Tryin' to steal some peace
All of our tomorrows
Will be yesterdays again

Course
(Oh) Wake up Marigold, come in
Oh, come in

I caught a little hawk
Put him in a box
Looked like he'd been shot
I tried to find his kin

(Course)

My granddaddys grapes
Grew around a stakes
Return to the earth
Oh, just like him

(Course)

I'm begging no one day(?)
Will be back (I don't know this)
Maybe we'll be stars
Or honey in a jar
And I'll be made of tin

(Course)

I used to think the hills
Were giants lying still
And someday they'd awake
And overturn the lakes

Wake up Marigold x3
Come in
Oh, come in

  • This is not on my version of Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain! Why?

  • @hexenductionhour There's two versions on iTunes. One featuring Marigold and the other featuring Galveston.

  • The lyrics are in the description box now, peeps. There were some bits I could decipher though. If anyone with a more discerning ear can tell what it is, post it and let me know, then I'll fix them. Thanks, and enjoy.

  • someone can put the lyrics of the song. I do not know much English and I do not get anywhere. thanks

  • @gravina2007 I put them in the description box.

  • Also it's "chorus" not "course" in the lyrics... small typo but it bugs me slightly.

  • @dcoop90 Er, I got a version with both. ...?

  • This song is incredible...I've been trying to download it for a while now, but I can't seem to find it anywhere! Does anyone have a clue how I could find a downloadable version of this song?

PS: Thanks for posting it :)

  • I believe

    "I'm begging no one day(?)

Will be back (I don't know this)"

    is really

    "I'm begging no one day

    we'll evaporate"

  • thanks for answering my request. the song is great.
