  • Obviously a TV print, as the film was in color. Why Fox has never released this movie on video in the U.S. is beyond me. The only release I have is a German released DVD, and it looks really bad. But at least I can watch it. Jerry Lewis. Connie Stevens. Anita Ekberg. Dick Shawn. Howard Marris, etc. Fox - release this on video!

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Dick Shawn is the man!

  • Oh, my! The special effects are just PRESH-ious.

  • 1989. The year that Zsa Zsa Gabor slapped that cop, Both she, Jim Bakker, and Leona Helmsley all went on trial. The Berlin Wall came down. Communism fell in Eastern Europe. The violence in Tiannemen Square.

Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon three years after this movie came out. The first American woman sent into space was not until Sally Ride 17 years later. Three years after that, Christa Mc.Auliffe was to be the first teacher in space;but then the explosion happened.

  • Dad let me stay up to see this one on the ABC Sunday Night Movie. Loved Jerry Lewis!

  • If you saw this on your end of the living room WITH the announcer's "reminder" at the end, 'SURF', it would make more sense as to why there wasn't a "pause"- same with filmed network promos of the '50s, '60s and '70s as well.

  • @fromthesidelines cool, i always wondered why some trailers had a long pause at the end

  • This is the "TV trailer", which was shorter than the traditional "theatrical trailer" (which lasted about three minutes), and was shown in color. There's space at :54 for a local announcer to say, "Now playing at a theater near you- check your local newspaper for showtimes...".
