  • Game 4 of Hwaseung OZ vs. eSTRO

    Starts at 1:32

  • Why are the players different colors for each perspective? o_o From the observer's POV, Really is red, and PerfectMan is yellow, but Perfect man sees himself as TEAL. And even crazier is that Really plays as GREEN and sees his opponent as BLUE.

  • lol, about 5:00, on the minimap, PerfectMan's base look like Vietnam on the map

  • @tealogon

Terran was green, protoss was blue. This is what terran was seeing as well.

Protoss had his "ally vision" or whatever it's called switched on (shift-tab twice), therefore he saw himself as teal, and the enemy as red, and if there were any allies, they would have been yellow.

The spectator also had this mode on, and allied protoss (at 1:41) but not the terran, hence the yellow and red, respectively.

  • They use the ally/enemy view. It's self-teal, ally-orange (note how they always ally one side in the beginning), enemy-red. Perfectman and Really use the "Team-Enemy" View I think.

But yeah, there are different color codings available on SC and they're using other options than "player colors".

  • @tealogon I think if you hit tab you can make it so you see yourself as teal and your opponent as red no matter what your colors actually are. It's just easier to distinguish than say yellow and gold

  • it's not as unconventional now as it has been in the past: I think this is becoming a new viable alternative on this map in particular just because of the easily defensible natural.

  • Spoiler: unconventional micro intensive strat used. And yes; very evil

  • pretty evil, wonder why more progamers aren't doing that

  • The winner is amazing....
