@MacAdvisorUK Thanks again. I think the main problem is that the remote control won't work while the iphone is docked, but it does when it's not.

@kung8292 Yeah, it'll flag up to say it isn't compatible when you dock it but if you dismiss the message it works fine. Charges it and plays music as normal.

is this speaker dock compatible for iphone 4s?

@MrTmd747 i wish it could, then would've been a nice digital clock too :D

Help! Wife had one for Christmas. She had problems intermitently from the start, but now it doesn't recognise her iphone, and the remote doesn't work when the iphone is docked. The remote does work when the iphone isn't docked. It does still charge it though. Is it just broken.

@Baggieboy291163 Has the dock stopped working with the iPhone altogether or does it just flag up a message on the iPhone to say it isn't compatible?

@MacAdvisorUK Thanks for the feedback Mac. Sometimes it says on the iphone "this product is not compatable" and other times there's no message but the speaker display flashes a --/-- sign. The iphone is a 3GS if that's any help. Thanks again.

@Baggieboy291163 Usually if a message flags up you can just dismiss it and dock the iPhone as usual and carry on, should work fine. I've had to do the same for the last couple of years. There will probably come a time when the dock doesn't recognise the iPhone with it being made before some of the phones and any iOS software update could cause it not to work with the dock at any moment.
