It's not the complexity that bewilders me, it's the consistency.
I brought the song down three semitones because I was too lazy to tune up.

@Kenderson12 Nope, but it is 'deeper.' I moved the pitch down 3 semitones so I wouldn't have to tune my guitar up haha.

I can tell that the version you were playing to is the EP. The one off the album has better vocals, imo. But you did a fantastic job :)
