On July 16, 1945, the U.S. government tested their first nuclear bomb, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer. As the blast went off, Oppenheimer became aware not only the terrifying power of the nuclear bomb but also our inability to entirely comprehend the implications of this invention. His attempts to warn the public were silenced and ridiculed, though today, over 65 years later, his voice is a haunting reminder of our very real nuclear threat.

You should learn more about nuclear energy and the specifics of the Chernobyl disaster before you post something like that.

Seems like everybody forgot about the Korean War where China, Russia and N.Korea fought western countries. Which saw over 2 million civilians and up to between 500,000 to 1 million soldiers killed

and forgot the American General that wanted to create nuclear fallout on the China-Korea boarder

and the Russo-Sino forgot what the US did to their biggest enemy a few years to end ww2, right?

Cause that stopped that whole korean war, right?....right...

Absolutely. The bomb stopped the war. Before the bomb, wars were considered something "natural". A decent way to resolve conflicts. Today, the only kind of wars that still remain are guerrilla-style wars, but wars among superpowers are out of fashion for good.

Man doesn't learn. Only the fear to extinction produced the change of mind that no religion could make.
