@Gerkinstock There are limits and dangers to magical wishes, I point to Disneys Alladin for a good description of the rules, chiefly 1) no wishing for more wishes, you get what you get, and 2) be careful what you wish for, like if you want the power to make your own wishes (ie the power of a genie) then you get the powers of a genie and all that comes with it. Unlimited cosmic power and itty bitty living space.

BTW, the "I Dream of Genie" I was referring to was another Twilight Zone episode. The man who found the magic lamp was granted one wish and he wished to become a genie himself, and he raised the number of wishes granted from one to three.

He should have wished for the power to grant his own wishes, then wished for omnipotence, omniscience and eternal life. I've actually taken the time to think this through but I'm never gonna get a genie or a magic idol or a magic chest to grant my wishes. I think a prerequisite to getting wishes granted is you have to be too stupid to wish for something good.

This guy had four wishes; he could wish for anything he could conceive of; and he blew it big time. Only on television.

The guy in "I Dream of Genie" did much better.
