i dont understand
why do you need higher bore tunnels for higher speed?
Also I am assuming they dont reach 300km/h in the channel tunnel?

@emachines34 Speed is limited by the single bore London tunnels it wasn't deamed worth while to build for 300km/h (would have required 8-10m bores - for 230km/h it is 6m same as the channel tunnel!)
so you are saying eurostar reaches 300 when it reaches ebsfleet
thats not good, i thought it would have attained 300 much earlier

@emachines34 Speed is limited by the single bore London tunnels it wasn't deamed worth while to build for 300km/h (would have required 8-10m bores - for 230km/h it is 6m same as the channel tunnel!)
