So Close - Hannibal and Clarice

This song is "So Close" of Jon McLaughlin in Disney film "Enchanted".
The video starts with Clarice being hurt because of rescuing Hannibal. This accident reminded Hannibal one important thing -- Clarice was a FBI agent and she had to face danger everyday; although Hannibal waited for 10 years to watch her run, what he got maybe only a piece of news article about Clarice's death when she was on-duty and that'd be their regretful end. He could'nt tell her how much he loved her anymore or held her in his arm no matter how much he wanted to. Hannibal didn't want this. He couldn't bear the risk of losing her. He had to seize their time; he had to create a happy end with his girl. So after he cured her, he kissed her and promised that he would stop killing if she said that she loves him. Experiencing so many things and so many years, finally they were so close.
And when they kissed, both of them reviewed their first close interaction between the glasses in the asylum and their touch near the carousel. Although they looked so far, they were very close to each other.
Then Clarice remembered how she missed Hannibal when she found only a pair of shoes but not him in the photo booths. She knew that she also loved him, although she thought she shouldn't.
At last, Clarice struggled with Hannibal, wanting to arrest him. Although they both love each other and they were so close to their famous happy end, Clarice just couldn't let him go or elope with him. And at the last part of the video, Clarice handcuffed Hannibal and cried. Her tear reminded Hannibal that although they looked so close, they were still so far in fact. I chose the ending with Hannibal holding Clarice's hand because I firmly believed that he wanted to hold her hand and protect her even though they couldn't get together. Also, this was the first time he held her hand so tightly^^

I like the grim, strange chemistry between Clarice and Hannibal a lot, but this song does nothing for it. You're not the only one. I haven't watched one video yet that had picked appropriate music or was done well to capture what they have. It's just really goofy, unrealistic. Try to think a little more about what you choose Pick something that will be recieved by more than fangirls. Darkly romantic maybe, but not cheesy. This isn't some storybook romance. It's a complex and frightening ordeal.

Have you actually read the books? If not, I suggest reading the last two chapters of Thomas Harris' Hannibal before stating your arguments

It's actually implied that he loves her in the last two chapters of Hannibal (the book). But it is a love born of the ecstacy of he hunt, the thrill of the chase, as it were.

You guys have turned a psychological horror into a romance?

Thomas Harris tries to tell you in the books that he doesn't love Clarice. He is intrigued by her. The reason he never kills her is because she is his game, and he is testing his limits. He enjoys how frightened she feels in his presence because he could - and would - kill her, and because of that he likes playing on that power, that fear.

It's not love! Hannibal Lecter is still a psychopath in both the books and movies.
