I think people should be treated by what kind of person they are not by what color or race or religion they are

In an interview John Carlos actually says that they (he) bowed their (his) head(s) not in shame but in reverence and in contemplation of the American anthem, the flag and the promises of could be. I think that more than shame, it was about a love and yearning for a better and more just future for the US and other peoples who are oppressed.

Wow, so they are up to 2 dollars a day now. That's a 100% increase. Did they find some diamonds on the floor to sell or something?

What about what white people have been through with rampaging violent Negroes ruining cities such as Detroit? Whites practiced slavery much less than Arabs AND NEGROES historically, and then whites forcibly ended slavery across the world. Negroes and Arabs practice slavery to this day. But just "blame whitey", because God knows you'll never blame yourself.

I remember the stir this created. I thought it seemed ridiculous for people to take issue with the Black Power salute. Let it go.
