This is version .93 of Alien Vs. Predator for the Atari Jaguar.
It was released a little while ago as a special product and is certainly a GREAT collector's item!
There are some differences with weapons (as you can see in the vid) and I saw a couple of different textures on the walls.
It's always cool to see games during their production :-D

  • When the door opens the sounds scares the shit out of me

  • @CLeRKSfan4life Truer words have never been spoken

  • Great game, remake is good too!

  • I think it would have been cool if they kept the alert sounds in. Have them go off randomly at least 15 - 30 minutes apart so it wouldn't get too annoying and so it would startle you some. But I still think the game is great without it. It adds more to the suspense and makes you feel you're really the only human left.

  • I was actually disappointed to see the new game after playing the original on the Jag. Back in 1995, AVP was the bomb. The graphics were the best of any reasonably priced console on the market, and the game play included atmosphere to draw you in. In my opinion, the new game is more of the same crap we see over and over again on the PS3 and 360. I would love to see the original Jag AVP reworked for the PS3 and 360 with 1080p graphics, and more realistic characters.

  • I don't understand the appeal of AvP. It's slow, the maps are a nightmare to navigate and is just tedious and repetitive. I like that there are 3 seperate missions, the graphics are great and it is pretty scary but it just drags on and on.

  • @imperialpod Yeah, I'm excited for it, too.

It's going to be pretty wicked.

  • Same here.

This game will ALWAYS make the top 10 FPS Hall of Fame list, no question.

WAY ahead of its time back then, much like Rogue Leader was later on for the gamecube.

Put us all that bit closer to Virtual reality.

  • The re-make is here in Feb 2010 and its looking VERY nice indeed.

The guys at Rebellion are something else, as was this game.

  • Same here. The game was scary as hell, too!

To this day, this original FPS version of AvP is my favorite game of all time.

I love my 360 and the games I have for it, but AvP still holds the #1 spot in my heart.
