Ah, thanks. I sure look like a fool now. Should have known that English wasn't a romance language. Even if it does take a lot of influence from Latin, it takes just as much from early Germanic tribes.
@ezwinnna Well, I don't think any Romance language pronounces the "o" like /ou/, etc. and I guess it would sound a lot like Italian. Just why would someone be interested in learning Latin? Just asking...
@Otustelija Same thoughts here. I couldn't hate it more... how hard is it to pronounce the "e" and the "o" without an English accent? But damn, he's good! His "um" doesn't sound like "oom" like it should either.

Learning Latin in school improved my grades in English, and my langage arts are the most used in business and in law.
I'm more interested in German, I always wanted to live in Germany, and Switzerland wouldn't be a bad idea either... ^_^
