  • Amazing how Gothic and fatalistic everyone looked and acted back then. All that black clothing and just walking casually in the midst of what had to be frightening as hell. Supports my theory that people were tougher back then.

  • damn thats crazy....I can tell thats Market street going towards that clock building that withstood the earthquake....still standing to this very day. I walk those streets and its crazy to think of the havoc there was more than 100 years ago right there

  • @abcmikke Me either haha i thought they came around the '20s

  • danggg didn't know they even had video cameras back then

  • thizz is what it iz

  • turns out the fabled 1905 film of san francisco was actually shot just days before the april 1906 earthquake!

  • Check this out Ian.......footnote to the 1905 San Fran Market St. footage. This 1906 footage is also Market St. but after the earthquake. Amazingly the Ferry Building clock tower at the end of the film,( and Market St.), is still standing!

  • @wazupchrisbrown I wouldnt be so scared to live in San Fran.. the buildings are built differently then when they were built then. More stable another words.

  • Great video despite the fact it's of a city's tragic moment.

  • wow that looks very old
