@henkeliduu Get some Codecs ;D I think Apple's Quick Time contains the codec that is required!

What program do you use for editing? Adobe Premiere Pro doesn't seem to support the file format...

Nope. Sony DSC-HX1 has a stereo microphone and porpably some other high end bridge cameras have it as well.
