  • You can repair the elements by cutting the notches in the edge of the panel deeper to get some slack and overlap the ribbons, then crimp a little piece of tin can around them.

    I was given this info by "Mr.Toaster" Joseph Paurel and have used it to fix a burnt out element in a 50+ year old toaster that makes my toast every day.

    I think it would probably work better to use a little piece of stainless welding rod pounded flat and folded around the ribbon.
