Now we attach the green oak runners, they're hard wearing and have minimal buoyancy. These offer protection to the bottom of the trap and the boat.
The runners are stapled to the trap using a pneumatic stapler (air powered) and the rubber strips are used for impact protection to protect the wire coating.
