Back in 2001 Paolo Guglielmino from Tutto Matto has been attracted to percussive music as a follow up to his experiments he did during the creation of the first Tutto Matto album: 'Funkulo'.

One of his ambitious projects was a track started in 2001 and initially recorded with local percussionists in
London: as the track had an initial inception in beats which, on score, could expressed as triplets the project
has been called triplets.

The former structure of the track consisted of an introduction of various percussions playing triplets times which then evolved in a binary structure with a 'bass on the one' to then come back to the former triplet
part and so on trough various pattern changes, till the end; the track was intended to be part of a larger project: an album by Paolo Guglielmino who then wanted to use the artist name of " Guglielmino's" [now changed to Super Paolo]

Initially the track was recorded at the Tuttomatto Studio and a first demo mixed on DAT during the Fall of 2001; the first recording consisted of a live performance by two bassists, three drummers, several percussionists.

In 2002 Paolo went to Italy to visit a friend of Him Alan Jotti who is a talented sax player; with him and a group of friends in there Paolo recorded additional sax parts and some organ and harmonica riffs; back in London he added a few part himself and created the second version of the track.

After several changes and reworks Paolo with the aid of Jurij from Tutto Matto cutted the first master on Lacquer at the Sony Mastering Studios in central London (studios now defunct); the master contained three other tracks: Happy Gay Boy, (who Paolo recorded for fun in 1998)  and Taste, Fresh (a track made in Genoa in 1995).

Jurij and Paolo decided to print some white of the 12", the vinyl did work very well on the dancefloor but the tune was very different from the whole Tutto Matto concept of the new album, and in 2003 the duo was late in delivering the Tutto Matto second album to Tummy Tuch.

In June 2003 Paolo and Jurij did left the project as they became very busy in finalizing the Tutto Matto "Hot Spot" LP and they could not find any time to promote or develop further the 'Triplets' projec, which was abandoned and the whites were archived together with the other promos and whites they were receiving at the time [ thousands of whites ] and by 2005 it was forgotten there, the duo was enjoying the success of Peace and You which did very well, and neither Juri nor Paolo did even remember that adventure for quite some time.

In 2009 Paolo founded his own label 'Discomilk' and released his first solo album: Planet Paolo, under the name of Super Paolo.

In 2010 while moving to larger premises, Paolo discovered the records while unpacking boxes [ he did not find it before as, as we said, it was a white in between many other; he noticed them as he was playing for fun some of the old whites and while listening to one of the 12" he remembered the record.

Not bizarre enough, the destiny of this tune has been made more intricate because Paolo did continue to work to the track (having forgotten completely the first 12") and he is still on it!!;

Paolo now wants to deliver to the public the 12" including the first master of Triplets which has been re-called: Triplets for Love (B side include a house version of the track made by Jurij in 2002).

The second album of Super Paolo (Funky Scanner -- Forthcoming) contains the 2010 version of the tracks which, at today's date, is not finished yet.

The importance of this first 12" is that it represent parallel work to the Tutto Matto releases which Paolo has made during the early 2000's and a few people have heard the tune when he played the white in Brixton back in 2001.

Triplets is one of the track that has a very tortuous and complex development, basically a live track but with a lot of successive adds on and many contributions from musicians who were recording other sessions while at Tuttomatto's, most important it is NOT a disco-re edit, its music is made by Paolo and the Tutto Matto friends and collaborators.

One of the other works within this 12" is 'Taste, Fresh...' which has been made back in 1995 in Genoa; Paolo owns more than 30 other master as this one and he is considering to master them for a release.
This is very curious as in te last times Paolo discovered to own a lot pf unreleased past work which sound perfect for the scene of today.

So please stay tuned...many things can happen here at Discomilk.
