Gobal warming.Climate Change.
Turel Sut
This painting consists of six triangular canvases attached to each other, creating a rough circular shape. Each canvas is 60 cm in size. The canvases are grouped together in threes and the central join runs vertically. The two halves sit off-centre to indicate a shift in nature.
In the centre of the painting is a mature polar bear standing on a small glacier, head stretched up towards the sky, mouth open, roaring and crying out for help. The bear is surrounded by deep Aquamarine Ocean and the icy surface is melting.
Each of the six canvases has been painted in a different country: Konstanz Germany; Stein am Rhein Switzerland; Mulhouse France; Vaduz Liechtenstein; Como Italy and Bregenz Austria. Turel chose to paint in six different countries to raise awareness of animal habitat destruction in nature because it is a global problem, not an issue for only one country. He would also like to point out with this artwork the warnings from the scientific community are becoming louder, as an increasing body of science points to growing dangers from the ongoing build up of human-related greenhouse gases — produced mainly by burning of fossil fuels and forests.
While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance. If this balance affects animals like the polar bear then their survival is put in danger.
There is a quick simple solution to global warming. It is called Muon Catalysed Fusion. As worked on by Star Scientific. NO CO2. NO Greenhouse Gases. NO Toxic Waste. WE NEED IT NOW. The source is deuterium from the World’s Oceans – virtually limitless. It is cheap to produce."..could cost as little as 0.9c per kilowatt" See blog "the Big Picture by Andrew Horvath" July 01 post
