Dear MySpunkey, Great to see this uploaded Rare Film!!!! This video of gorgeous Lee Remick is from a 1982 telemovie made by ABC TV in the US. The film title is "The Letter" It is not available from any retailer. I am keen to add this film to my Lee Remick collection. Do you have a complete copy of the entire film?? the thing that i am saying is that smoking doesnt make the risk much higher of getting livercancer.

(hepatitis provoked by many other causes has far more influence than smoking)

smoking has an influence but it is small. (the studies you are mentioning wont deny this) you cant blame smoking for everything if someone dies and was a smoker in movies. (smoking is unhealthy but many things are. (car driving, alcohol and other drugs, air pollution, etc.)

There are numerous medical studies showing that smoking does increase the risk of liver cancer. Lung cancer is not the only type of cancer for which smoking increases the risk. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, but you don't seem to be understanding what I wrote. I wrote that since smoking increases the RISK of liver cancer, there is a plausible link between Leer Remick's smoking and her cancer, but not absolute proof of causation.

smoking doesnt create tumors in the liver. (they can be transported to the liver from elsewhere in the body) smoking can provoke a renal tumor but those are not lethal. conclusion: the claim that l.remick died of smoking is not based on facts. (she didnt have lungcancer)

She died of liver and kidney CANCER, and smoking does indeed increase the risk of both of those types of a cancers. In fact, smoking increases the risk factor of virtually every known type of cancer. This does not prove beyond all doubt that smoking hastened her death (we're talking probabilities here, not certainty), but there is a plausible link between her smoking and her cancer.
