PUBLIC VIGIL FOR MIGRANT WORKERS KILLED AT WORK

"On December 24, Alexander Bondorev,
Aleksey Blumberg, Fayzullo Fazilov and
Vladimir Korostin fell off a 13-floor high
swing stage and died immediately.
Dilshod Mamurov who also fell, survived
with a lifetime of injuries.

All five men were living in Canada
without full status.

No One Is Illegal Toronto
and Justicia for Migrant Workers
are calling on the Ministry of Labour to

1) pressure Ontario and Canada
to ensure status for anyone working
in the province and their families;

(2) guarantee adequate compensation
for injured workers;

(3) implement a Dont Ask, Dont Tell
policy and demand that CBSA
not target workers and their
families and

(4) immediately move to ensure access
to healthcare for all workers in Ontario.

These people fell to their death's because they FAILED to strap their harness onto a rope. They had all the gear they just did not want to work with the harness attached to them. Your request for the CBSA to not target people that work here illegally is insane. People who are working or living here illegaly should be departed. They should not have access to health care at the tax payers expense unless they are here legally.If they want to live here they can legally immigrate like everyone else
