This video was shot on the evening of August 14, 2008, in Laveen, Arizona. I had intended to fly my plane to get some aerial photos and videos of the new developing area of my neighborhood, when a monsoon storm started to come in from the northeast.
At the beginning of my two flights that day, the winds were calm, and the storm appeared to be far away. By the end of my 2nd flight, the winds were really starting to pick up. You'll notice in my landing that my relative ground speed was almost zero since I was landing directly into the wind.
