In keeping with our philosophy to bring you the freshest most innovative Cuisine, the InterContinental Culinary Brigade is pleased to Welcome 2 Sichuan specialist's chefs flown in from the InterContinental Chongqing, located in the heart of the famous Sichuan Basin. What started off as a sleepy fishing village, known as one of the 3 furnaces due to its intense summers, this economic center for that area famed for its bold Sichuan cuisine is a never ending hub of food, fresh ingredients and eating.
Starting on the 14th of March for three spectacular weeks, Saigon our Signature Vietnamese Restaurant will play host to what promises to be an unforgettable dining experience.
Specialized food that is Spicy, Hot, Fresh and Fragrant is what you will experience when you dine at the Saigon, our Signature Restaurant of the InterContinental Westlake Hanoi where we proudly to welcome two Sichuan specialists direct from our sister property in Chongqing China. Sichuan Master, chef Shuai head up the team with veteran Sichuan wok specialist chef Chen as they skillfully prepare Classic Sichuan Cuisine.
On your authentic Culinary journey you can enjoy wonderful delights and classics like Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce Chongqing Style, Marinated Pea Noodles in Chili Sauce, Tangerine-Flavored Beef in Sichuan Chili Sauce as well as the all time classic Dan Dan noodles. Look into our open kitchen and witness their specialized use of fresh and dried herbs, pungent garlic, chili and ginger as well as the Sichuan peppercorn or flower pepper with its unique intensely fragrant, citrus-like flavor as they relentlessly prepare each dish to exacting standards.
They will be the first insert in our 4 part Chinese Culinary Journey through China which will take place throughout this year. Highlights to look forward to are Chinese BBQ, Dim Sum and Noodles. Each promotion will feature some of Intercontinental best chefs brought in specially to ensure the highest standard and most authentic cuisine.
