  • nice video how mouch did u invest in the setup i like

  • @elcomandante31able Back now 3yrs ago it was about $38K for the hardware..Ive added the batteries and a second inverter since. Panels then cost $900ea which now run about $440ea. The Tax CREDIT of 30% was nice and we did get it no problems. Again we did not do the local electric provider mainly because the 30% he was going to give was what the labor would have run so it was a wash. Rather do it myself and have it inspected than deal with more cash out of pocket.

  • What's your ROI (return on investment)? Please be honest. Thanks!

  • @OuchiePunkie Its going to be years but we dont care as much that we have our own power and when..not if the grid goes down we flip a couple switches and we are online again WITH the ability to run into the night with min power consumption. GREEN TAGS or RECs we are saving up. Texas doesnt have a good REC comp package yet but we can hold the credits for 3yrs. NJ state buys them from you at $600/rec at this time. That is work waiting for to get my ROI down quickly.

  • Why are you using 2 charge controller if 1 charge can do 6KW? And how did you connect your panels (series and parallel)? Thanks for your informations.

  • @JPOsolar 1 Controller is rated for 3K so one array of 3Kw is feed directly into one controller and the other array is in the second. 3 panels are wired in series. Each string of 3 is wired to its own DC breaker at the disconnect panel located behind each array. Those breakers are parallel back to the charge controllers.

  • @netwerkthis Im not sure who you're buying your equipment through. but if you need a quote to give you an idea on how much of a deal you're getting from the distributor u use, let me know. we do 25% over our cost. Just an idea. We're in KC but we just drop ship from DC Power Systems warehouse.

  • I believe there is a code violation with the disconnect above the battery bank. If the bank was to catch fire, you may not be able to get to the disconnect to separate from the grid I cannot remember where in the NEC that is spelled out but I have read it on other forums.

  • Hello netwerkthis: Very solid system, how do you balance the load between the battery banks? and what made you go with the Xantrex system instead of other American made power controllers?

    All the best, Raz

  • thats whats up good shit

  • I just bought 16 of the maxx 29 batteries for my setup and I was wondering how yours are holding up? How many years of use do you have on them now? still providing the same AH? thanks for any help

  • Awesome!!!!
