A feeling of swimming through a Monet landscape -- Acoustic Magazine

This record is a questioning and challenging, living and breathing nervous system of an album -- Maverick Magazine

One for ardent lovers of classic songwriters like Peter Gabriel and even more modern artists like Elbow, Quiet Rebellion is the brainchild of Award winning Yorkshire-based songwriter Shaun T Hunter. Turning his back upon a potentially lucrative production deal in the late 90's, Shaun chose to plough his own musical furrow and forge his own path, resulting in a series of highly acclaimed albums while at the same time playing show case shows at Hospitals, benefits and prisons around the country.

Recorded and produced entirely by Hunter in a variety of unusual locations, including a reputedly haunted Industrial Mill, 'Still Talking Scribble' see's Shaun taking his next musical leap. Having played every instrument on the record, there's an incredibly personal feel throughout. With Hunter's mesmerising voice yielding an incredible power, quite often he seems to recoil himself back in from the edge.

In 'Still Talking Scribble', Shaun has created another startlingly honest piece that takes the listener on a journey from the darkest corners of the mind, to the deepest recesses of the soul.
Tracks like the urgent, mesmerising "From Cathedral Cities To Dark Northern Towns" and the wondrous "Beneath The Wings Of A Dragon" are both exorcisms and affirmations of the spirit's undying ability to persevere.

  • Really love this video Shaun.... the song is excellent and has a great vibe about it mate. Check out my channel for the Sacred Trinity Gig you and I did - you do feature in there.

  • Shaun - love it!! I could see you on Jools with a large band - Peter Gabriel Style - made me want to get my bongos. really good work mate.

  • Excellent work Shaun, as always.

The loop station's a lot cheaper than a band and a lot more reliable methinks.

I must get one and start developing some of my own ideas though I'd probably end up living in it and no one would see me again.;)

Keep up the good work mate speak soon. T.

  • The loop-station master strickes again, this is timing to perfection, not sure about the tattoo tho, looked at first like a black eye but knew your other half wouldn't do that to you, lol love it :)

  • Genius. Again. LOVE this song. A perfect blend of evocative words and music, and underplayed technical mastery, all wrapped up in a genuinely catchy and accessible package. Couldn't help drumming along as I listened ;o) Many thanks for sharing this with us x

  • Another stunning piece of music from Shaun, great writing and great performance, no point talking of the techniques and the technicalities of the performance, just be absorbed in the entirity of the whole piece, let it flow over you, once again Shaun has produced a wonderful ethirical feeling wrapped in a musical performance, thankyou
