We need a tool for studying the behaviour of the sample material in nano level. The problem is the size of the tool is less than the size of the sample....SPM fulfil this scenario.

  • I am in biostatics (biology and mathematics) in 2001 a graduate student colleague of mine was working with this technology SPM’s, the one that "kicks" photons (PSTM), to make it more accurate and faster. I asked him: Can you use that for imprinting circuits if it is close enough using a specific current? He told me NO you don’t understand, that cannot be done, this is to ONLY "see" the surface. I guess with some imagination he could have been the first one to publish. Lesson: Listen!

  • We have to go to Nano age.

  • this is fucken dumb

  • Wow, the tip is made up of atoms, amazing!

Actually, from the video it appears to be made of some thing considerably SMALLER than the atoms it is probing....maybe it's really made up of subatomic particles, eh?
