The River Parret in Bridgwater (Somerset) flows inland from the sea - the tidal bore. Afon Parret yn Bridgwater (Gwlad yr Haf) yn llifo o Fôr Hafren i ganol y tir - eger Parret. eger Hafren. Ar y fideo yr wyf wedi dodi'r dyddiad "08 Awst 2009" (yn lee 2008), ond nid oeddwn ar gyfyl y lle yn y mis hwnnw. Byw yn y gorffennol, weithiau.

  • The river flowing inland from the sea is NOT the tidal bore, and I did'nt see the bore on this vid. The bore is the wave on the front of the tide. If you had been in bridgwater at the end of the EBB (flowing out to sea).....you probably would have caught the bore. (the very beginning of the FLOW)....IF it had been a big enough tide.

  • Diolch am yr esboniad - Thanks for the clarification

  • Despite the ( correct ) comments, still interesting and good to see.

    Diolch

  • Would be good if you could get footage of this bore, although I have been lucky enough to see that bore once.
