After Midnight was written and recorded by JJ Cale on his Naturally album back on June 9, 1971 in Bradley's Barn Studio in Mt Juliet, TN.

Naturally is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's got a great laid back feel and chocker block full of great tunes.

After Midnight was also fabulously covered by Eric Clapton who I have had the luck of seeing twice in concert.

I'm playing After Midnight here in a different key and a bit different feel. I am playing in the key of A and am playing a D Hohner Special 20 harmonica.

The chords I play for the verse are A C D which I repeat but which isn't done in the original or Clapton's version. My twist.
