@dcooke1989 "In 2011, Iowa was donated to the Los Angeles-based non-profit Pacific Battleship Center and will be permanently moved to the Port of Los Angeles to serve as a museum and memorial to battleships."

is the uss iowa still there? or has it been converted into a floating museum? just curious.
-
@FOOSAG I couldn't agree more

No sonar. even if it did, too much own ships noise. No asw capability and CIWS does not work against underwater targets. An obsolete target.Sorry kid, youare living in a fantasy land
-
@BernieEOD They have plenty of defense for torpedoes like their 5" guns and CIWS (and if at a distance the 16"s) and they DO have sonar not like the subs I'll give u that but it is still very reliable
-
@TheBattleship61 They have no def3ense against a MK-48. Assuming you even know what a MK-48 is.
And Battleships have no sonar or ASW.

@BernieEOD Spoken from a coward
-
@BernieEOD Those ships would take those MK-48s and destroy themin one blow then destroy what ever it came from

Now Lesson Two in strategy— Our subs and planes are title C. Just send them out on any mission And win your battles by attrition. Where'er you send the subs or planes They're bound to chalk up lots of gains-- And losses, too, but what the hell. Who cares about their personnel? For planes are chauffeured by young studs; Lieutenant Commanders run the subs.
It would be a great shame if the Iowa ends up being scrapped. Save this ship!!
