ONE YEAR LATER
NOVEMBER

Ally's POV:

I'm still in love with my best friend. There's no denying that. But I've gotten better at controlling myself around him. Besides, him and Kayla are together. Have been for a year now. And they're happily in love. Good news for my "twin", Skye, she's with Zach. They're one year anniversary is in November. And Mikey is talking to Kayla's best friend from Miami, Lexi. She moved up here for college and hit it off with Mikey. Oh and I am 19 now. Cam will be 20 in April, Zach in December, Mikey is 20, and Nathan is 19. Kayla will be 19 in December, Skye will be 19 in February, and Lexi will be turning 19 Thanksgiving weekend.

On top of that, the guys got signed to Hollywood Records. But due to legal issues they added Weekend to their name so they now go by Allstar Weekend. They're starting to get big and this month they're going on a cruise to promote themselves.

Oh and if you're wondering, no. I never told Nathan how I felt. I lied and told him about how my grandmother (may she rest in peace) was in the hospital again and that they think it's the last time. It wasn't a lie. She was ill and in the hospital. She passed away two weeks after that and Nathan and Cameron held my hands during the whole funeral. At the service I sang one of her favorite Spanish songs from when she was a little girl and Nathan played the guitar for me. But I couldn't ignore how happy he looked around Kayla. So I decided I needed space. I went back to Miami for a few days, stayed with my sister who lives down there, then went up and traveled to Europe. I mostly stayed in Prague with family I have there but I visited England, Ireland, Austria, Germany, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy, and Greece in that order and all in a matter of 5 months. Skye traveled with me for two. It was beautiful and perfect. But once 5 months passed I realized how much I missed home and my friends. I knew I was still in love with Nathan but I was just going to have to deal with it. When I got back, it wasn't Nathan who picked me up at the airport, it was Cameron. And that disappointed me. I realized that even though I didn't want to hurt him, leading him on was so much worse. Maybe I was scared to being alone, which is why I waited so long. Maybe I was trying to force myself to be in love with him again. Who knows? So I sat down with him and we had a long talk...

FLASHBACK
HOME FROM THE AIRPORT

"No, Cameron! Be careful with-" SLAM! "...that." Well at least it's just clothes, "Sorry Ally." He replied sincerely, smiling his cute boyish smile. I waited for him to walk over and kiss me on the cheek or something like he normally would but he just stood there smiling at me, a noticeable space between us. I sighed. I guess now is the time to do this. I sat down on my bed and patted the space next to me for him to sit there. He walked over and sat next to me. I took his hand in mine and looked up into his precious green eyes. So beautiful and captive. But they weren't the eyes I wanted to be looking into. "Cameron, you know I love you, right? We've known each other for 5 and a half years. You're one of my best friends." He sighed and smiled, "Yeah, I know. I love you too." I bit my lower lip. I could see the hurt building up in his eyes and feel his body tensing, "But for the last couple months something happened... I... I-I don't know what or why but I've been feeling you'll never be more than my best friend. More than a brother." There I said it. I couldn't bring myself to tell him about my feelings for Nathan. Besides, now's not the right time for that. His hand squeezed my mind gently, "I've noticed. I just never knew how to bring it up and then you left for Europe and I didn't want to break up with you over the phone. I know you prefer things face to face." I nodded, "Thank you. I'm so sorry Cameron. I love you so much, I really do. But more like a brother. I really am so sorry." And the tears fell. He gently wiped them away, "It's alright. It's not your fault." He whispered. "Cameron, can you please not be nice right now? It IS my fault and I need to hear how you really feel, please?" He sighed, "Fine. I feel hurt and honestly I don't understand what happened. But I understand that these things do happen and it is NOT your fault. You know what they say; 'If you love something, set it free; if it comes back, it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was.'" I smiled, "Damn it, Cam. You're too good, you know that?" He chuckled and hugged me, "Nah, but thank you. And you are too. It takes a lot of courage to be honest. Especially to someone you love." I looked up at him and kissed his cheek, "Will you still be my best friend?" I asked, hopefully. He chuckled, "I was just about to ask you the same thing."
