  • The Bible doesn't call us to be passive (which pacifism when war is necessary is a form of being passive. Look at the old testament...God called the Israelites to declare war on unholy nations. Are we to say God is wrong by calling His people to do that? War is not evil, nor are men. But everything can be perverted by sin. Don't be passive, but love through action as best as you can!

  • @Jcgllspe : You're confusing the meaning of pacifism - it does not mean to be passive, but rather to "pacify" violence through leaving a life of peace, as Jesus did. God may have called people to war in the OT, but in the NT and beyond we're living according to Jesus, who said "Love your enemy". His teaching went beyond the OT (in many other ways as well). Can we say today that whole nations are "unholy"? If so, what about the USA?

  • @dcprime your confused,it was Rabbi Hilel`s teaching of the GoldenRule ca. 200BC which the religion of Christianity is based. The reformed Judaism called Christianity was fabricated around the teaching of Rabbi Hilel. There is not even any evidence that Jesus Christ even existed, accounts by Roman historians are all written by historians born AD who wrote their accounts AD as well(Tranquillas,F.Josephus,Tacitus all were born AD) well fabricated dogma. Christianity is simply reformed Judaism.

  • @PAULOcbi : I do not disagree that Christianity is reformed Judaism - Jesus was Jewish, after all. However, the rest of your "facts" are very questionable, and only hold any semblance of possibility if you discount the gospel accounts themselves. The comment that "there is not even any evidence that Jesus Christ even existed" goes against all modern Biblical scholarship (a field of study with centuries of history behind it).

  • @Jcgllspe (I just realized I made a typo in my previous comment. It should say "living a life of peace", not "leaving a life of peace". :)

  • @dcprime sorry I mis-spelled Columella(AD4- AD70) ..Rabbi Hilel taught the Golden Rule 200 yrs. b4 the Gospels were even a thought and it is Hilels` teaching on which the Gospels are written. Jesus is a dogmatic figure like Jonah or Moses, just a character in a story. "A symbolic, mythical or ritual representation of events that would be unendurable in daily life can redeem them into something pure and even be pleasurable." Aristotle 200BC. So you see how the crucifiction was fabricated

  • @dcprime well obviously your not a scholar,do the research. all accounts by Roman Historians of Jesus,Gaius Seutonius(AD69-AD130), C.Tacitus(AD37-AD117),F.Josephus(AD37-AD100) all were born after the supposed death of Jesus and all wrote their accounts the same time Gospels were being fabricated ca. AD70-100. Other historians who make no mention of Jesus are Aulus Persius,Clumella,Philo Judaeus,Plutarch,Justus Of Tiberias,Pliny The Elder,Valerius Maximus,Phaedrus, the list goes on and on.

  • Christians & Muslims need to embrace Jainism!!

  • CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION !!!!!
