Today it has run 3582 miles with no wear. Grease gets too thick in the gear motor to run it in Winter. I run it 24/7 only in warm weather. You can load anything to the point of wear or destruction. It is a display item. The small motor is fully loaded just running the chain. High humidity can cause the links to swell enough to stall the motor. I think that shows very little wear on the links. Shop warms up, humidity drops and it runs again. I am quite confident it would run a fan with no wear.
