I sometimes feel sorry for Tywin.I understand the way he dispassionatley looks at the bigger picture; the perseverance of the family name with all it implies; the leaving of a powerful legacy for progeny to follow, and for the masses to fear and respect. He seems a man who has sacrificed all his life to achieve these things putting aside his personal feelings and yet that is all his children are concerned with, their personal feelings. Not a one is inline with his vision for their own legacy, smh

I love how it's twofold. On the one hand, we see the Lannisters butchering the defeated Baratheons, and on the other we see that Tywin exercises power by doing everything himself, unafraid of dirtying his hands. It's like the scene where Joffrey complained about having to walk up steps, and Tywin responds by walking up the steps to the Iron Throne.

Nearly every scene of this show is a masterpiece. I feel like we're all privileged to be alive at this time to experience it lol.

My father once had a conversation with me very much like this one. He reminded me that I took too much for granted and basically needed to man up. He is dead now and that conversation is one of my most vivid memories of him. Watching this scene left me pale.

Did no one else get the symbolism of Tywin Lannisters skinning and gutting a Stag.....
