Koblenz is a city of huge fortresses and misguided postwar city planning.

  • Some unfortunate architectural choices indeed.

And there's more about Pizza Hut that's distasteful than just their logo.

    ;-)

    Nice job on these videos!

  • In 1992 I was in St Petersburg for a few months. It wasn't easy finding fresh food -- you had to know people who knew people, and I didn't. Went to Moscow for 2 weeks, and believe me, the new Moscow Pizza Hut was manna from heaven. They had a salad bar... with FRESH SALAD. The green stuff was stuff that was supposed to be green!

That's the only time I've ever been grateful for the chance of eating at Pizza Hut...

  • ill 2nd that i used to work in pizza hut in the kitchens...urgh

  • I don't think I want to know.

  • anytime you're in koblenz, stop by osteria novencento. that's my aunt and uncle's restaurant and it's fantastic.

  • das ist aber nach der BUGA!!!!!!!!!!!

jetzt sieht das alles viel schöner aus

  • I laughed about some of the comments. In my opinion, Koblenz is one of the beatifullest cities.

There are some things that I would have shown (train station, Rittersturz, the University, our ugly football stadium from our former Second Division Club (which is my one true love by the way) and some things more...)

The yellow inscription is the logo of a local beer with long tradition ;)

    greets from KO

  • Home of Thomas Anders !!!

  • Great you came to the city where I was born and where I live for 17 years...I´m so used to all the buildings that I didn´t even recognize how ugly some of them are.

Unfortunately you came when Koblenz was prepared for the Bundesgartenshow. No you can go everywhere...you only have to pay 20€ ;-/

What you filmed is pretty much the part which is now Gartenshow and the old part of the city. I think there´re more things in Koblenz which are worth a visit...but you can´t visit everything.Great video

  • I was there in 2005 and the statue of the unknown soldier doesnt glorify war. Its just a tribute to the german soldiers who died during the war. You still can see the holes of the bullets on the walls of the fortress and it was never conquered. A beautiful city indeed.

  • many greetings from germany, have a nice weekend!!!

    your eDDi, cu

  • i lived there for 3 months, it was the best time ever
