Ken, in high school my friend had a tape of a guy talking to himself about how his mother got him started on the stuff. A high voice is asking him questions. 80 cups a day. 80??? Much more than 80! I have been looking for it for a while now - possibly the funniest thing I've heard in my life. Can you enlighten me as to the title? Or possibly post it? All the best, keep on keeping on.

I vaguely remember doing the addictive coffee bit. Have to do a word search of the stack of word jazz I've done, could be up there in the archival attic. If I find it, I'll letcha know.

I can't believe I found you here! A dear friend turned me on to Word Jazz in college a few years back...okay, nearly 30 years ago. I used to stay up till 5 am on Sunday mornings so I could hear (and tape) your show on KUT in Austin. I still have those old cassettes somewhere...along with several CDs I've picked up over the years. Listening to you in the dark is a special pleasure for me - thanks so much!!

This is the best stuff to listen to for nighttime driving and long, cool, road trips. In fact, Word Jazz got me from Alaska to Louisiana. Long trip, great memories of driving around strange towns looking for little roadside motels at midnight. Good times :-)

What are binaural ear phones? I though you could use any head phones for the binaural effect? Does this actually use binaural technology?
