Airsoft Night Op Review - Ops Core, ATACS, G&P Sentry, PVS 14, PEQ 2 & TAG Phalanx

I had been asked about what kit I wear and use for night games at Airsoft Edinburgh, so here it is. It's reasonably basic gear apart from the NV set up which is a little bit special. Hope you enjoy the video

How is your ATACS through night vision? I gather its not IR treated, but some camo is not too bad through night vision, others (and other kit) glow like a beeatch.

Also any chance of ATACS trousers with kneepads?

I should be up soon to pick up some when the mrs does not notice!

@madmikefalkirk It seems to be okay actually, you're right though it's the non IR stuff as we're outside the US. Wouldn't want us Scots being all terrorist-ish now :) no ATACS with knee pads just yet.

Could I ask where you got your FAST replica from? There are a couple out on the market right now but I want to know where you got your particular one from; it looks quite accurate colour-wise and shape-wise, something I feel may be lacking in the copies that are being released more recently.

@scandapoodle Yeah our ATACs is the non NIR version, doesn't seem to make a massive difference from what I've seen so far.

* Do you run the a-tacs during night games? i guess you have the polyester one as the nyco is new and relatively hard to get. I am asking as the polyester is not NIR treated, so not really that good of an idea for night. But maybe you are the only one with good NVG where you hang out...

yeah, charlie can do that to you i guess. can't remember as it too long since we met, well im an old fart. ;)

seriously tho, you might never injure anyone's eyes but it is GOOD FORM to inform each other what gizmos you got and before a night game. Especially the power and wavelenght of laser so that everyone can be the judge of any risk of injury.

but i guess you did it with this video more or less.

@timchung2007 potentially but it's quite tough to hold it directly in someones eye, you'd need to be stupid.

IR is especially dangerous as the eye will not automatically blink/shut. so you will not know you are being lased until you feel pain. and then it could be to late.
