Ethanol is the worst fuel to use. Farmers are growing more corn for the increase demand of ethanol and not planting as much wheat and other crops so it is increasing the price of food. Oil is the most practical fuel because its always there readily available. Wake up people we are not running out of oil there is oil everywhere all we have to do is drill for it. No matter what all you liberals think and how much you want to change it will be the fuel for the next 50 to 100 years.

So you buy one of the greatest scams of the modern day known as Oil Shale. All of the stuff that you hear about with Trillions of barrles in Nevada and other states is a SCAM. You obviously dont know that Shale requires more energy to convert to petrolium than you actually get from the petrolium. Shale is worse than the Canadian Tar Sands because it used more energy.

Using Natural Gas as energy to convert Oil Shale is like using decapitation to treat dandruff.

Not only that but corn uses 5x more fertilizer then other crops, fertilizer made from oil, uses pesticides made from oil, combines run on desiel and harvest is done quickly, truck run on desiel, machines that convert corn to enthonal uses coal/oil and the result is something that emmits Co2 from fermentation

US was forbidden by UN to buy Iraqi oil and still is so it doesn't matter If Iraq is pumping 1 trillion barrels a day....unless their is a repeal US can't buy Iraqi oil (Stuff is shit anyway)

My problem is the main reason Why Alaska joined te Union was cause of the Huge Oil and Coall tere, and there is enough oil under northern Nevada tto match what we buy from Saudi Arabia..but Environuts got congress to forbid Drilling in US...dumasses

It seems like your mindless assertion came back to bite you in the rear. Just as I had stated, the speculators were the main cause behind the "short-term volatility" that even you concurred with. The energy market ran out of gas, speculators pulled out of the market, and prices ultimately plummeted. Market needs "sensible" speculating layer for liquidation but the other extreme of the spectrum would cause price fluctuation which hurts everyone at the end. Admit to it.
