@Railfanable Could be the sound of the electronic bell at the crossing just behind me. The gates at the crossing behind me were not activating as intended because of an issue with the signal mid-frame at 2:00. The signal is wired to the crossing, hence forth, when the signal is absolute red with a train approaching, the gates will not ingage due to no proceed indication at the near aspect.
@Railfanable The train was "flagged" through this location at restricted speed because of this issue. Then right at 2:10, you can hear the bells activate because the train is all the way through the crossing. If you watch to the very end you can hear it. But I see where it can sound a little strange if you are not completely aware of what's going on behind the frame.
iv heard on the scanner them having problems with their signals one railcrew even asked the dispatcher''you mean to tell me we paid for those things & they dont even work?''
HA! Yeah I've heard all kinds of things on the scanner about signaling issues. One time the dispatcher spent 3 or 4 hours just flagging trains through here because the system was screwed up for miles. They had a hell of a signal gang out there working for quite some time after that fiasco.
What's that whining I hear? Are some of the stacks refridgerated?
