Well we are not suppose to stop living and do nothing and just wait on His return. That was never God's intentions. His Word warns us that His coming is near and to get ready. God's timing is not our timing obviously, so His timetable is different than ours. Nevertheless, I believe we are to make use of the time that we have left here on earth to spread the Gospel to all and not just set on down on our blessed assurance and wait. Get busy with what the Lord would have us to do, HE IS COMING!

2 Peter 3:3-9 says "Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.

But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water"

@roudy1689 Well, God did not expect us 2 put our lives on hold just because the rapture could take place right this second. Jesus left us on Earth 2 do the great commission, not 2 sit here & wait 4 Him 2 return. When Jesus was on Earth, people felt the same way you do. When Jesus said He would return, they thought He would come the very next day. Well, it's been 2,000 years. BUT, Jesus WILL return very soon. We just don't know when. Prophecy has 2 take place before He does.
