  • I think it's a cool trick and will test it on many fish but will still employ the mathematical calculation. It works on both Salmon and Steelhead.

  • This formula is farily accurate until you get in the 38, 39, 40 inch range. These fish are usually a little heavier than the fromula. We've been using this for many years. We start at a 30" fish is 10 lbs and one pound for every inch after. Same formula.
