however it's a mind opening experience

which probably lead him to become an orthodox jew

weed is extremely spiritual, if it wasn't for rules and man made morals, he should still toke when he feels like it :P

@JosephMBoyer You can't say say he smokes marijuana because he said he did when he was 17, or because he doesn't judge people who do smoke marijuana.

I don't judge people who smoke, but I don't do it myself.

When Matisyahu was 17 he wasn't an Orthodox Jew. Even his newest single "Smash Lies" talks about how it's self-destruction to smoke and get high.

@JosephMBoyer I'm not saying you can't be. He definitely does not smoke weed. Have you ever read any of his lyrics?

He is an Orthodox Hasidic Jew. He certainly does not smoke marijuana.
