During the Ultimate Cake Off competition on TLC, Norman Davis uses Sure Cuts A Lot 2 with a Cricut Expression (Not Cricut Cake) to cut character faces in fondant to be used on his 2nd Place cake. Check out candaCraft.com for more discussion.

  • I just thought I would clarify that I am not affiliated with Norman Davis. I posted the video to highlight the fact that they used Sure Cuts A Lot with the Cricut Expression to decorate their cake. I aggree that there are MANY other decorators using this method including Linda, who pioneered the method. However, I do appreciate that these more famous decorators are able to promote the use of Sure Cuts A Lot with the Cricut to truly unleash your creativity.

  • +Oh, and on his website Norm also claims that Zane learned to decorate cakes from Norm also, get over yourself, Zane has more talent in his pinky finger than you will ever have!! If it were not for Zane's incredible talent, you would never win a challenge!! You do all the stupid stuff, but the talent lie with Zane!! Oh and before you claim to invent fondant, you didn't invent that either!!!

  • I agree firstlizzy, I am so sick of Norman taking credit for what other people have done. I would love to know how he came up with the number of 12 cake artists using this method, did he poll the whole country personally, because the number is far from 12, and give credit to Linda McClure because she introduced this way before Norm ever tried it!! He also takes credit for those stupid chocolate curls that he did not invent either!

  • how do you use your cricut to cut the fondant? I tried mine and it just pushed it around and didn't cut the fondant, and the roller things messed it up as well? Does anyone know?

  • There are thousands that have been introduced to this great new cake decorating technique. Linda McClure developed this method.Great job Norm, I loved your cake!
