I disagree with Angel, I am training a wild mustang where all his human experience was bad. But I have been working with him for 3 months and this was a horse that did not want to be around people because of the stuff he had gone through. I did use food as a positive motive and he is coming a long way. My question to angel is have you ever trained a horse from the ground up and if so great. Next question would be have you ever fooled with a wild mustang? Completely different!!

@sarojas76 Thanks, Sarojas.
"anyone can feed a wild mustang hay" -- I would encourage her to contact and talk with the many mustang adopters who assumed life would be like the Black Stallion and the horse would magically come to them -- and who, after months or years, CANNOT "simply feed their mustangs hay".

seems ur trainging is revolved around food. not very impressive. that doesnt show true training ability. anyone can feed horse hay.

Angel,
Thanks for your feedback. If you've watched day 1, you may have noticed that Cheveyo was accepting human touch in abou tan hour after his arrival, with no food involved.
We often do use feed as encouragement through scary stages -- why not encourage him to put his nose through a halter for his dinner, rather than trying to force it on him?
We would be happy to have a sincere discussion about training with you via email, and encourage you to get in touch at amc (at) cwer (dot) org.
