http://kyegrace.com Part 2 of a series comprised of my opinions re: who should consider buying Vancouver Real Estate now & who may want to wait to pursue Vancouver homes for sale.

Young or young at heart professionals earning above average income currently renting or in some cases living at home should hold off for a few more months before buying Vancouver real estate.

Real estate prices will continue to drop into the new year. Spring time is traditionally begins the climb to the peak of annual real estate activity, but what if it doesn't happen? There are a lot of sellers hanging on hoping the spring will bring them the price they want. Not likely. This will work in a buyer's favor as reality sets in.

To really take advantage of this opportunity, the work starts now.

Find yourself a great Realtor who is accepting of your long term strategy.

Be willing to make offers on 4 or more places as opposed to just your favorite.

  • Buddy? I don't even know you ;-)

I agree spring is going to see the market push further down likely substantially. I assume you refer to it as a 'disaster' that you are a home owner? Cause if you are a buyer than it is far from a disaster. If you are a home owner just sit tight enjoy YOUR home and wait for the swing the other way, if you even need to sell.

I never mention that prices won't drop further nor do I refer to it as a soft correction.

And I just took a look I have balls...

  • Buddy, spring will be a disaster - inventory will rise as sellers and developers flood the market. Prices are going to continue to slide. You are completely out of touch with the market.

This is not a soft correction we have along way to go. The economy, new CHMC rules (No more 0/40 - our sub prime), over building and of course , lack of affordability have and are all contributing to what will go down as the worse housing disaster in Canadian history.

Grow some balls and tell the truth
