Radhia discusses how blood chemistry relates to nutrition and what a professional can tell by analyzing a persons blood. Some nutritional deficiencies can be spotted by blood test and other cant. Why is this? What can a blood test tell and what cant it?

  • I think the soft drink industry is actively and aggressively trying to poison the world's population on a global scale. The question is, how do we sue them into the ground and put them out of business.

  • THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

"More recently, scientists reported that cannabidiol, one of the chemicals found in marijuana, slows growth of breast cancer cells growing in laboratory dishes. However, this substance has not been tested in humans or even in animals that have cancer yet. Cannabidiol levels in marijuana are low, so any benefit from this compound would require use of a purified and concentrated form."

  • just look up what I said previously 'produces and .. etc' and go about 7 links down to the news-medical link.... read the information. Biology teachers think different things about the appendix. That's why I like University studies. The appendix helps with any kind of herbivore diet, including grass.

  • Really? My biology teacher told me that the appendix is for digesting grass. When people used to eat grass years and years ago, the appendix was much bigger. Its shrinking due to the fact we don't digest grass anymore. Well, this is the explaination I heard anyway.

  • Wow well I'm studying nutrition and dietetics at my college. WOw that interesting about the appendix. I assumed it had some job lol...it's in the body. You're a big help! I'm in the health field so keep me posted with more...plz!!!

  • I'm just obsessed about health. Did you know that hominoid apes (including humans) have an appendix located at the end of the large intestine. We're taught at school that the appendix has no use, but really it "produces and protects good germs for the gut by rebooting the digestive system" ( Duke University Medical Center). The more meat people eat, the smaller this appendix gets over time. We are devolving by eating meat. Mid-aged men who eat meat are 4x more likely to suffer a heart attack.

  • Thanks thats good to know. Are you a dietitian or studying to be?

  • @Ladymodel Pomegranate juice is much healthier for people than wine. If you take a pair of identical twins, one drinking wine for their whole life and the other one drinking pomegranate juice for their whole life, the one drinking pomegranate juice will have a much higher life expectancy due to the much higher anti-oxidant content in pomegranate juice (if other factors are equal... exercise, etc). Hemp seeds are a much healthier choice for iron and enriching the blood + a heck of a lot more.

  • Thanks for telling me something I already knew. But the important thing is both wine and pomegrante are good for the blood wine especially if a person has iron deficiency It enriches the blood

  • @Ladymodel during the beginning stages of fermentation the grapes become rotten, if they are not rotten already. This is because there is still oxygen in the wine bottles, just a lot less. If you drink a 2000-year-old bottle of wine, you'd probably die.

  • True they are for your body as well. The grapes for wine are not rotten; they are fermented and that is a difference. Eating or drinking rotten grapes can be hazardous to healthy.

  • @Ladymodel or we could spend the money on fresh pomegranate juice instead of rotten grape juice (wine) and be even healthier.
