I think this is brilliant. I'm autistic and I find this very inspirational. She is a successful and independant woman with autism and has come so far in her life with her incredible knowledge. I also know how hard growing up being autistic can be, feeling very lonely at times. If I hadn't have heard of Temple Grandin then I maybe wouldn't have gained acceptance of my autism. I was diagnosed at age 21 years old and I am now 22. This helps as I am still trying to understand myself.

I understand your point about ractopamine, but I doubt that's Grandin's fault. Slaughter business has its negative sides as does every business. By the way, I'm a vegetarian, but I still respect Grandin's work. Slaughter is not humane and never will be, but Grandin has made it a bit more humane.

Also, could you provide any sources for the horse slaughter thing?

By no means is slaughter humane. But people who consume meat in America are being poisoned and they are to blind as to that fact. Ractopamine is rampant in the food animals and is banned in 160 other countries, It causes the animals to mature at 3 times the normal rate so maybe they have the last laugh in the end. People who support Grandin need as much help as He/She does if that is ever know as well..

Because I know Temples works and they have all failed, she designed horse slaughter houses one of which is in Canada and the horses are hit in the face with a captive bolt over and over and she says it was effective. It was only effective in causing extreme torture to the animal just as her cow slaughter house designs are. She claims she know what they are thinking,,,,, She claims she loves them. Then why the hell is she doing what she is doing ? She knows nothing except how to kill.

She is a whack job and thats the bottom line if you would investigate her you would find all her torture techniques have failed the animals in every way.
