That was the point of it.
The Director wanted to go for a more Grittier and Darker approach to the Miami Dade's war on crime.

I 100% agree with everything you said about this film. Iam a big Miami Vice fan but this film was just shit. I always feel its a sort of dark take on Miami Vice when I watch it. I will prob buy it just for the sake of it being Miami Vice.

have you tried to update the firmware, other then that I have no idea, you should contact your manufacturer.
