Yes, I agree. Metro ruined everything at STI and the contractors.

At the time of this recording, no TV, I think... IDK, but as you said, the STI NABIs now have not only AAs, but Transit TV INSTALLED as well!! Even the ones on Metro Express line 577X have them too. :( STI also just got the REPOWERED 7000s that were sent down from the main LACMTA fleet.

@KevinMeno2008 did that bus 7140 have automated announcement system and a Transit TV? I personally hate TTV, but most contracted NABIs and Orion end up getting the TTV earlier this year...while STI's NABI got AAs installed in December of last year...

I rode this NABI 40-LFW (7140) on this line (266) from Downey Landing to Lakewood & Florence on May 13.

This happened 5 years ago while 7140 was still ours,,we had the block 7135-7142 at division 8, Still in white for local service,,Believe me,,After paying 371.00,,I`ll not soon forget that number!!

I got a ticket in this very bus deadheading back to the Division 8 yard one morning.
Dang Trans wouldn`t shift into 6th so I stayed in the number one lane on the freeway next to the carpool lane.
traffic began to slow up and the car in front of me slammed on its brakes with lots of room to go forward.I applied my brakes and the "Effing" retarder quit working so I crossed the double yellow line to swerve onto the carpool lane,,not knowing CHP was running a Sting for this very violation!!!.

@Rt4957 @Rt4957 Are you sure it was 7140? Because this bus is operated by the contractor in Baldwin Park. And that's a long way from Chatsworth.
