Part of a set of rochin and tinbe. Just another Ninjutsu project I completed, the tinbe is almost complete.

Will do, when I get time and tools to fix it. It should be strong enough to toss at a plank of wood when I'm done. I've seen endmills thrown at drywall, it's pretty cool, so a modified drill should be down right interesting.

Good to hear you treated it well, should last you forever with that kind of temper ^^

Would love to see how it sticks though :P

Temper is controlled by temperature, of course. When an grinder is used, we often wet the material during grinding to cool it down to prevent this. We sharpen our own drills at shop and the larger ones need to be dipped in water while we do this. When I did this one on a bench grinder, I dipped it more often than usual because I modified the geometry of the blade. It still isn't the shape I wanted it, but I need a new wheel and it takes a lot of time. :)
