Ma, Sesto, al punto estremo
ridotto io sono. Tu non ignori

The orginal libretto includes a subplot where Annio is briefly under suspicion for the assassination attempt.

This is an nice aria but nothing really sticks out - one might say that it's conservative. I wonder if Gluck did it on purpose to increase the shock of the audience when in a few minutes time it's Sesto's turn to be taken away and sing his main aria...
