  • shame austria sold 800 of these to the IRANIAN police force and they have somehow ended up killing allied soldiers in IRAQ

  • Now that's bad luck. But it shows: The gun works great...

  • @ENGLEESH Steyr-Mannlicher checked the serial numbers on captured enemy rifles. they were not austrian-made. they were copies from somewhere else.

  • @ENGLEESH

i´m austrian and even though they ordered 800, steyr sold not even close to 100 of these to the iranian police. Beside this fact the weapons which were used killing soliders in iraq where duplicates never produced or sold by steyr. Since the patent run out on this gun a lot of other weapon lobbys started to produce it.

  • That's wrong those which were found in iraq were not those from Austria. They proved it with the serial numbers on each weapon. (Wikipedia)

  • @Grimjau not only that, it is clear that they were not from the trade with iran. the serial numbers proofed that.

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 It is more accurate than those two.

  • @ENGLEESH

Not only iraq.... not saying much more, but you get the general idea.

  • @sowi3t

thats because astria is lacking a second amendment

  • @ENGLEESH Shame, that HS .50 rifles are banned in Austria...

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 While I haven't had an opportunity to get a close look at the Gepard, it has a more efficient muzzle brake, and is capable of slightly more accuracy than a Barret M99.

  • how is this gun compared to an barrett m99 and an gepard m1 ?
